If you’re curious about how Joy Junction works, who we help, or what kind of impact you can expect from partnering with us, below you’ll find quick, honest answers to questions we’ve been asked before.
What makes Joy Junction different from other wellbeing consultancies?
There are many great employee wellbeing consultancies out there doing an excellent job. What makes Joy Junction unique is that we start with what you already have, not what you don’t. Together, we build greater impact and ROI without initially increasing budgets.
Who do you typically work with?
We’ve worked across multiple industries, from large universities to small and medium sized businesses, but in recent years we’ve found a natural home in the Public and Third sectors, and we’re really enjoying it.
What’s your approach to employee wellbeing?
You’ll never find us advising you to focus on awareness days alone, because wellbeing should be everyday. Awareness days can help get initiatives off the ground, but we’ll always help you follow this through with long-term action. We explore wellbeing from three perspectives; individuals, teams or departments, and your organisation, helping you understand what wellbeing means at every level.
How long do projects usually take?
It depends on the project, really. If you’re looking to deliver a couple of workshops for line managers or employees, we can turn these around in a matter of days or weeks. Larger reviews of your wellbeing proposition might take two to three months. We’ll work with you to find the right balance so we meet your timescales together.
What does a typical engagement include?
First, we have an initial chat to make sure we’re the right fit for each other and to explore your goals. Next, we’ll put together a short proposal and timeline, delivered remotely, to make sure we’re aligned. Once you’ve shared your feedback, we’ll make final tweaks and get a start date in the diary.
How much time will this take from our internal teams?
Again, this depends on the project. Workshops usually need minimal input from your team, but consultancy projects may require us to gather internal information that only you can provide. We’ll agree what’s needed in advance so everyone knows what to expect and can plan accordingly.
How do you measure success and ROI?
We help you define what success looks like, whether that’s higher engagement, lower absence, or more confident line managers, and then track progress through data and feedback. For workshops, this often includes surveys before and after sessions, and follow-up events later down the line. To measure consultancy projects, we review outcomes such as participation rates and engagement with existing wellbeing services.
Can you work within our existing wellbeing budget?
We sure can! Whilst we have overheads to cover and mortgages to pay, revenue has never been a primary driver of ours; impact has. Our core difference lies in helping you make the most of what you already have before investing in anything new. We also offer discounts for Public Sector, Third Sector, and certified B Corporations.
What’s the return on investment that we can expect?
It depends on your goals, but typically you can expect increased engagement with your current wellbeing services, line managers who are confident leading wellbeing conversations, and employees who take proactive steps toward their own wellbeing.
How do you make sure change lasts beyond this work?
We don’t work with fads and gimmicks and we're not on the payroll of other providers. Culture change isn’t about that cool new app or trendy exercise class, it’s about what matters; culture, connection, and processes. By focusing on these foundations, we help create lasting change that strengthens wellbeing and performance across your organisation.
Do you provide follow-up support?
We’re here for as long as you need us, our relationship doesn’t end when the project does. We’re just a call or email away, and we stay connected with our network long after delivery. We also continue to develop and release our tools in public, keeping training and workshop alumni up to date with the latest versions, like our Conversation Canvas.
Can your tools be embedded into our own processes?
Everything that we create together is designed to continue adding value once we’re gone. You’ll have a clear wellbeing journey to revisit, a community of line managers confident using our tools, and employees who can apply models to whatever wellbeing means to them.
Drop us a quick message using our contact form and we’ll happily chat things through. No jargon. No pressure. Just ideas and honest Yorkshire charm.
